Many government subsidies and programs exist to assist you in implementing renewable energy plans.

Feed in Tariff Program

The Ontario Green Energy Act allows individuals to generate solar power and sell it back to the Hydro Company at a premium rate. The goal is to enable 100,000 Ontario homes to have solar energy.

Your Hydro Company will pay you a fixed price of up to 80.2 cents per kilowatt hour for the solar electricity. You will get a 20 year contract guaranteed by the Ontario Government regardless of which party is in power. Imagine getting a cheque each month from the Hydro Company. Our customers are receiving a 9% 10 12% return on investment.

The Eco-Energy Program

Now matched by the provincial government!! Receive a grant for up to $1300 for a solar hot water system and a grant for up to $600 for changing out a wood stove or pellet stove. Come in and ask us for details or try the eco-energy web page.

The Federal Government’s program is now matched by the Provincial Government!! Receive a 50% grant (25% from the Federal Government and 25% from the Provincial Government) for Solar Hot water for Businesses, industries and public institutions.
